6 Tips for the Best Shoe Fit

    best shoes
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post via LinkVehicle.

If you're an office worker, shoes that pinch can distract you all day long. If you're a marathon runner, shoes that pinch can mean the difference between first and second place. Finding a good fit is absolutely essential when buying a new pair of shoes, so here's how you can make sure it's perfect every time.

1. Measure Your Feet
Your shoe size can change over the course of your life even after you've stopped growing. Pregnancy, for example, is notorious for enlarging your feet. Your feet are also bigger at night than they are during the day. It's a good rule of thumb to always measure your shoe size the night before you go shoe shopping.

2. Try Things On With Your Larger Foot Most people have one foot that's slightly larger than the other. Such asymmetry is common; just make sure, when you're trying things on in the store, that you're gauging the comfort of the fit by your larger foot and not the smaller.

3. Try Multiple Sizes
Even if you've determined that you're a 10 1/2, ask the store employees to fetch you the same shoes in a size 10 and 11 as well. You never know when the construction of the shoe might throw off its typical fit, so something made with aerodynamic arches or special midsoles might run differently than usual.

4. Look Up Customer Reviews If you're interested in, say, mens New Balance sneakers, look up reviews for both New Balance athletic shoes and their men's line specifically. You're searching for any testimonials that mention size. Do they run large? Do they run small? How many customers agree?

5. Give Yourself Wiggle Room
Your feet get bigger during the day, remember? So you'll need shoes that can accommodate that. Look for footwear that offers about a quarter of an inch of wiggle room between your big toe and the interior of the shoe.

6. Check the Heels
Talk a walk down the store aisle. Are the backs of the shoes riding up and down your heel? Sometimes it's just a sign that you need to lace them more tightly, but sometimes it indicates a poor fit. Try another pair just to be sure.
These are six tips for getting a good fit every time. Don't make your toes suffer needlessly! Take a few extra minutes to ensure that you're buying footwear you'll be comfortable with in the long run.

Summer Sandals That’ll Blow Your Mind

summer shoes

After that long, long, long (did I say long?)… never-ending (well it seemed that way) winter— I know your feet were begging (and pleading and possibly crying) for a break from all those winter boots. Am I right? Those poor feet, SO I’ve made up a list of some MUSt have shoes you’ll definitely want to be sporting all summer long. Let those babies have some wriggle room!

Whether you’ll be walking on the beach, sightseeing, or dancing—there’s a pair waiting for you! (and most are under $100). Go on and splurge a little! You aren’t breaking the bank here! If you are interested in a certain pair, the pictures are clickable! Open-mouthed smile

*Edgy

If you love wearing sundresses, but don’t want to seem too girly you can always dress it down with a edgy pair of sandals! There have been plenty that have caught my eye, but these were at the top. These sandals would also look good with a pair of distressed capris or shorts and a retro tee!

imageimageimageimageimageimage

Between the studs, chains, and braids on these sandals—I’d rock any of these with pride. I love the simple yet rebellious statement that these shoes make! Let your shoes do the talking!

image

Country Music Superstar Miranda Lambert just launched her very own Miranda Lambert shoe line, as if I WOULDN’T love it right? All pairs of her summer shoes say edgy with feisty and sexy wrapped into one!

*Color

Add a little flair to that one tone dress. You don’t have to go all one tone. I mean, it’s SUMMER.. spice it up! Adding color and flair with an amazing pair of shoes? YES! You’ll definitely be seeing brightly colored sandals all over the walkways where ever you are, this is the IN right now!

imageimageimageimage

These would even look good with a pair of skinny jeans! Choose a darker color such as blue or black and pair it with colored sandals & shirt. I love all the above and the gladiator style shoes are definitely something I like.

*Animal Print

Animal Print is something I don’t think will ever go out of style. I love seeing animal print mixed randomly in outfits. And randomly I mean JUST one print per outfit. Mixing more than one print is just too much.

Mixing an animal print shoe (or bag) with a little black dress for an outdoor summer event is definitely a YES! Or add some spice to those skinny jeans!

imageimageimageimage

The python print has always been a favorite of mine, although any print looks good.

*Chunky Wedge

I am soooo loving the chunky wedge style. It pairs basically with anything in your summer wardrobe. Whether you’d like to rock a skirt, shorts, skinny jeans, capris, and even jeans a wedge spices it up.

imageimageimageimage

These shoes are super sexy and you can NEVER go wrong with a wedge! Right? Right! I am loving even more that there are bright colors as well as animal prints now in wedge as well! Rock it sister!

What is your favorite summer go-to sandal?

Which style above do you like best?

Winter Style Must-Have! Bamboo Shoes, flats, & Boots #MustHave

image

Do you have tons of clothes, only to find out that you’ve been wearing the same couple pair of shoes with each outfit? As a woman, I love shopping for new shoes but as a mom I am always looking for ways to save money.

imageimage

We don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to look classy, stylish, and finish off our outfits. There are tons of amazing Bamboo Shoes in a variety of styles. It doesn’t matter what kind of outfit you’re trying to put together or what style you have, you’ll find something you ♥.

image

The 2013 Winter Trend is all about being bold while still keeping it low-key. It’s all about making your own unique fashion statement while still feeling comfortable. Paired with the skinny jeans look, any kind of boot, bootie, or flat looks stunning!

image

You can transform boring bland jeans into “hey look at me” with an amazing pair of heels. You can add color to spice up the outfit and give your look a “pop” of design. OR you can just follow suite and go with the classic black. Smile

image

You don’t have to spend your entire paycheck to look and feel amazing! Almost all of these shoes are under $30, and come in a variety of color! Can you say “HELLO, you’re coming home with me!” lol.

image

Have you seen the wedge sneakers? I really like these black ones, not so sure on the brown ones. I’d definitely wear a pair under jeans, they look really awesome. These would be better for those jeans that are flared/ wide-leg!

image

I am really loving the slouchy boot & riding boots look for this fall/winter! It has been super cold here and boots are a must! Whether they are flats or have heels, boots look AMAZING paired with jeans for a casual look or even dressed up under your work clothes!

What look are you really into this winter/fall?

Therafit Deborah Women's Sneaker Review

Shoes are absolutely essential to humans. Could you imagine walking into work without a pair of shoes on? It’d be kind of difficult, don’t you think? Distracting in the least. Shoes are something we NEED, and we can choose comfort and style at the same time.

We have different types of shoes for a variety of needs. We wouldn’t think of seeing a football player in a ballerinas shoes. Nor would our minds understand seeing a dancer in a pair of cleats? Could you imagine someone walking a long distance in a pair of heels? No, because we need different shoes for different things.

Walking and running definitely needs a certain type of shoe. They need to be comfortable, because ill fitting shoes cause more strain on our bodies. Dr. Lisa Masterson from the Emmy Award winning series “The Doctors” created a shoe designed to keep women comfortable no matter what they are doing while improving their health.

I was sent the Therafit Deborah Sneaker in Black/White. I fell in love on the first use. They feel like they were designed to fit my feet. Every time I put these on and lace them up my feet smile. They mold to the contours of my feet while also providing cushion.

WP_004744

Usually a shoe would do 1 out  of the 2 for me but never both. Usually running shoes mold easily to your feet but don’t provide enough cushion. Walking shoes are the opposite, they provide cushion without the shoes properly syncing with my feet. These shoes do both, and it feels amazing.

WP_004745

Therafit shoes have a PCS which is a Personalized Comfort System. The PCS allows you to adjust 3 separate “pins” inside the shoe. These pins are what absorb the shock and impact of your feet hitting the ground when you walk/run. If you can see in the picture, I’ve slid the first “pin” in a little ways so you could see what I’m talking about. They are very easy to slide in/out.

I haven’t had to adjust any of mine yet. I like the way they protect my feet as they are already adjusted. I’ve never felt this much protection with this lightweight of a shoe. They are as lightweight a other athletic running shoes, yet offer comfort and cushion as a walking shoe would.

Walking shoes are usually extremely heavy because of the added cushion within the soles. It can be troublesome if you want to jog and/or run. These shoes are different because I can walk/jog/run and NOT feel like I’ve got a concrete block on the end of my foot.
They also rank A+ for long distance comfort. Usually after a little while of jogging or running there would be certain spots in my feet that would begin hurting with other running shoes. That’s because they are built to be lightweight for a faster running time. These are built for speed and comfort, so it’s a win-win.
image
As you already know, I love color. I love the fact that these shoes come in a variety of color, and the colors are vibrant and bright. I definitely want those bright pinks ones, they are next on my list!

They provide a lot of support to every part of your foot; from the toe to the heel. Therafit shoes are built and developed around 4 key characters: comfort, customer, community, & charity. They are also endorsed by the National Posture Institute because of the comfort and protection they give while reducing aches and pains.

Kid Review: Bobbi-Toads Unique Shoes For Girls

image

I am thrilled to be able to tell you about some very new, very unique shoes for girls! Adisyn had a chance to try out Bobbi-Toads and she is LOVING them!

image

Bobbi-toads are a totally unique shoe, They have little toes on the front of the shoe that can be painted and repainted to give your little girl a thrill every time!

image

I’m pretty sure she never takes them off. Every time someone walks into our house the first thing she does is show them her shoes and says “I’m wearing Bobbie Toes”. Yes, she calls them Bobbie toes.. lol

imageimageimage

We ended up getting the JacJac Bobbi Toads. They are a Metallic Blue enhanced with bright, beautiful, colorful flowers. They have a velcro closing rather than shoe strings because Adisyn doesn’t know how to tie yet.

WP_002039WP_002040

They have a cute little frog on the bottom of the shoe, Everything about these shoes are adorable. They scream “unique” and pure of “cuteness”. They come in sizes 11-5, and come in both velcro and shoe string versions.

image

You’ll find the non-toxic bobbie toad fingernail polish and polish remover on the website in a variety of pretty colors. You don’t have to use the bobbi toad polish though, you can use any non-toxic nail polish that you have!

They are sized so that girls as young as 4 and 5 can wear them. My daughter is 4, and she can’t yet paint them herself. She loves for me to pain them though—and unlike a certain “little girl” the bobbi toads aren’t constantly moving!!

image

We are going to keep these for when Adisyn starts preschool this year in August! She is most definitely going to want to wear these tomorrow when we go to the Preschool screening! Wish us luck!!

Buy it:  Bobbi-Toads $49.95
